Attention K-Mart Shoppers: The New Blog is Up and Running!
Hello and welcome! Let me introduce myself; I am Kayleigh, the illustrator behind Kayleigh Illustrations. Along with my boyfriend, Jesse, and our two kitties, Gomez and Toto, we live in Grand Rapids, MI. It is a nice city that I highly encourage anyone to visit
(especially in the summer), you will not be bored! I will be graduating from Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University with my BFA in Illustration two months from now (which I am jumping for joy about!). I have been working on my BFA for four years now and although I am sad to leave college, I am excited to move onto the next stage of my life. When I am not working on my artwork I am working at an assisted living facility as an Activity Assistant. I get to run groups and classes (art classes are my favorite!) and spend one-on-one time with my residents. During what little down-time I have, I crochet/knit and have been trying to pick up gardening (still working out all the kinks). My two parents are absolutely wonderful, as are my two younger sisters and my grandparents! They support me in every endeavor I attempt and help to pick me up if I fail. Jesse, my boyfriend, is my rock. He keeps me tied to reality wile cheering for me to reach my dreams! I love him so very much!
With finishing up all my classes and preparing to graduate, I am starting to accumulate some time to get my marketing and social media back and track and full speed ahead. The new blog is finally up and running! I have some exciting new content coming up including this blog and a Youtube channel with tutorials. I am also rounding out my Etsy shop and bringing some new products for my loyal fans.
To get my blog back on track, I am giving myself a challenge...
SEVEN WHOLE DAYS OF BLOG POSTS!
Ok, so not that big of a challenge, but I am working on steady blog posting. Getting myself into a habit of posting and constantly thinking of the next post and what will it be about. They will be sporadic, some will be short, maybe a few longer ones. Whatever I feel I can share about my day, but they will have to be posted every day!
